South Dakotan buffaloes roam wild and free around this area and is revered and respected highly by the people. It represents a will to survive and power to overcome adversity. Meanwhile, Bear Butte mountain is sacred for many indigenous tribes and a place for spiritual and religious ceremonies. So this double exposure photograph is an attempt to capture essence of a beautiful and spiritual relationship between man, animal and nature.
