A skeleton of a grain elevator, once a thriving business in a small town of Owanka, South Dakota, still holds its ground.

The Sun has Set.

The sun has figuratively set in Owanka, now almost a ghost town. I love when there is a little symbolism in a photograph. Once a small thriving town, but a series of unfortunate events and decisions started a chain reaction to its decline. I love going back to this place to improve on previously taken images. This one particular was a perfect evening with a crescent moon and the evening star, Venus, lining up behind the railroad track and the abandoned grain elevator.
